The Tornado roller coaster was located on the Bowery on the east side of Stillwell Avenue. It was one of the "big 3" 1920's coasters that survived into the 70's (the others were the 1925 Thunderbolt and the 1927 Cyclone; the Tornado was built in 1926). The Tornado was particularly interesting because it was a complicated coaster on a tiny lot. The lot was so narrow that they actually had to cantilever the coaster over Henderson's walk, the street which formed its eastern boundary. (Read more at http://history.amusement-parks.com/coneycoasters2.htm) The Haunted Mansion was a dark ride located under the Tornado. It is mentioned in the "laffinthedark" article.
