Photograph of the Drop the Dip ride Also known as Trip to the Moon, "this coaster, which was built from a dentist's model and constructed by Feucht, had oversize dips when it opened on June 6, 1907. Despite its small coaster structure, 450 x 65 feet and a ride that lasted only 90 seconds, at 25 cents a person, it could gross $20,000 a season. It was very popular its first month but then it burned to the ground when Steeplechase was incinerated on July 28th. It had four passenger toboggan like cars and some of the steepest drops of a coaster to that date." (For more information, see: http://www.westland.net/coneyisland/articles/coasterlist.htm)
