Jia Guo has an MA in Multimedia Journalism from New York University. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, she interned at CNN’s Beijing and NY Bureaus, and worked for CBS interactive and Bloomberg TV. As a contributor to the NY Times, she reported on the funeral of Officer Wenjian Liu and the Chinese community’s response to the first Chinese-American police officer of the NYPD killed in the line of duty. Prior to NYU, Jia graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a major in TV Broadcasting and minor in Technical Communication, and studied law at Shandong University of Political Science and Law in China.
