Serhan Ayhan

Serhan Ayhan is fully English-Turkish bilingual, having attended Turkish Saturday school as a child. He taught the language at New York University’s Speaking Freely Program while earning his MA in International Relations at the school. His internships include the Institute for Economics and Peace and the United Nations Liaison for the International Action Network on Small Arms. Serhan has worked at Asia Society and is currently an AmeriCorps Member with the St Bernard Project and Friends of Rockaway, supervising the rebuilding of homes destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. He is also heavily involved in the pizza industry; his family has owned and operated Boston Pizza and Subs of Astoria, Queens since 1997. He is also a researcher for Scott's Pizza Tours and Slice Out Hunger, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting hunger relief initiatives by fundraising through the American pizza industry.
