Binky C. is a self-described authentic Coney Island character "the way they don't make em anymore." He grew up in the 60's and 70's and has an enduring love affair with Coney, its people and its history as a true New York neighborhood, "urban and gritty with a hometown feel." He was one of 11 children and his family lived in over 15 different addresses in Coney Island ("we made gypsies look stationary"). He charms us with stories of living on Coney Island Creek in Harry Silver's boatyard without electricity and running water, climbing to the top of the Parachute Jump, Stick Beach and stealing penguins from the Aquarium, among other stories.
