Freda Aron grew up in Coney Island in the 1920s and 30s to Russian immigrant parents. Her life has led her to Chicago, Utah and Alaska as a nurse, journalist, and, most recently, a radio programmer. She loves telling tales of Coney Island when on the air at KCAW in Sitka, Alaska.
