Ron recalls going with both friends and family to Coney Island back in the 1960's. His family always took the same spot on the beach in front of the Wonder Wheel. He remembers amusement rides from that time in great detail, but waited until his 42nd birthday to ride the Cyclone. After being away for decades, Ron started coming back to Coney Island in 2000 to ride in the Mermaid Parade with his 1966 Thunderbird. Today he rides his car in many parades and organizes doo-wop shows around the city.
