Ron Rossi - Bringing the 1960’s back to Coney Island

Ron recalls going with both friends and family to Coney Island back in the 1960's. His family always took the same spot on the beach in front of the Wonder Wheel. He remembers amusement rides from that time in great detail, but waited until his 42nd birthday to ride the Cyclone. After being away for decades, Ron started coming back to Coney Island in 2000 to ride in the Mermaid Parade with his 1966 Thunderbird. Today he rides his car in many parades and organizes doo-wop shows around the city.

Ross as he was know back in the day, definitely is a part of Coney Island history....I remember he was like clock-work....daily showing up andasking to run the roundup or loop o' plane or paratrooper, or Zipper he wasn't on the payroll but was there just helping out, always smiling always happy. You could go anywhere in Coney Island and Ross was know.
