Walter "Shorty" Arsenault worked his whole career in the amusement business, starting in Coney Island at the Nellie Bly Amusement Park and then working for many years in Astroland. He managed the section of the park with children's rides called Kiddieland.  Shorty shares his memories of working in Astroland and keeping the rides maintained, staffed and operating smoothly. His early memories include working as a lobster fisherman with his Dad on Prince Edward Island and getting a job with a traveling carnival. "When I went on the fairgrounds, I met my calling," he says.

Shorty passed away on June 2, 2011 at the age of 63.
