Ruonan Zheng

Ruonan Zheng recorded oral histories for the Coney Island History Project in 2019, when she was a New York-based bilingual reporter. Her focus is on narrative journalism and working on producing her own documentary on humans of New York. Her real interests lie in the personal histories of local communities and how they transcend time and space to impact people now. Born and raised in Beijing and currently working as a journalist there, Ruonan has a B.A. in Communication Studies from Luther College. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
