Olga Martynchuk

Olga Martynchuk is the mother of 22-year-old American professional boxing star, Nikita Ababiy, whose nickname is White Chocolate. She talks about raising a boxing champion whose pro record is an amazing 10-0, with 6 KO's. Nikita attended PS 100, IS 303, and Abraham Lincoln High School in Coney Island, where he excelled in both sports and academics. As an amateur boxer he was a Junior Golden Gloves National Champion as well as two-time World Ring Side Champion. Olga recalls emigrating from Russia in the 1990s and living in Bay Ridge before settling in Coney Island and Brighton Beach. She recalls her experiences during Hurricane Sandy and getting trees planted on her street. Olga and Nikita now live in Sheepshead Bay.
